Suspended member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has revealed he has secured funding from two reputable international organizations to establish an online platform that will serve as a central point to disseminate budget fraud, corruption acts and publish evidence.
The embattled federal lawmaker made the revelation on his twitter handle on which he also demanded that the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, return Ibori’s money.
Jibrin recently returned to Nigeria after he had departed Nigeria for London seven weeks ago, and after he had vowed to remain in exile until he was confident about his safety back home. He had cited numerous assassination attempts on his life.
He left the country four weeks after he was suspended by his colleagues in the House for stirring the budget padding scandal in the public domain.
“My few weeks of silence was to strategize and put to work some of the advice I have received from hundreds of well-meaning Nigerians,” Jibrin said.

He stated that he would hold series of public lectures and sensitization programmes on budget fraud and corruption across the country.
“Our first event will hold in Kano on 9th January 2017 with 5000 youths across the country in attendance.
“Our anti-corruption crusade will be ruthless in 2017,” he said.
“I remain very proud that despite the organized witch-hunt against me using the institution of the House they have not been able to establish any offence that I have committed during the course of discharging my duties in the 5 years I have spent in the house.
“It is noteworthy that no member of the house has formally accused me of corruption or abuse of office as I have consistently done against the Speaker and others,” he added.
