Popular comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has confirmed the end of his marriage with his wife of over 15 years, Ibiere Maclayton, after reports of them being enmeshed in a marital crisis made headlines.
Confirming their split during an interview with media personality, Daddy Freeze, on Friday night, Julius disclosed that his wife said “she was tired” of the marriage.
He said: “My wife said she isn’t marrying me again. She said she is tired of the marriage”.
The comedian went on to express gratitude to God for being alive despite his recent challenges. the comedian said; “That’s why I thank God I am alive. That’s why I said Satan works in mysterious ways but God works in miraculous ways”.
Commenting on his health challenges, Julius recalled how he was admitted to a London teaching hospital in 2016, where he was in a coma for three months.
He said: “There are no rumors about my health. It is true. I had a tumour surgery in 2015, a brain surgery. When I traveled to London to do a show, just two days before the show, I was rushed to the hospital.
“I was in Coma for 3 months. I thank God I am alive”.

Born in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State south of Nigeria to Chief Augustine Amadi Agwu and Mrs Mary Agwu. He is the fifth child in a family of six children.
He started his acting career on stage in the city of Port-Harcourt where he grew up. He acted in several television series and movies such as Torn (2013), A Long Night (2014) and After Count (2011).
