JUST IN: Kano Gov, Yusuf gives condition for Commissioner nominees to be sworn in

Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has directed all the 19 Commissioner nominees must comply with the code of conduct rules.

By the announcement, the nominees are expected to declare assets within the best possible time before their onward screening at the State House of Assembly.

Governor Yusuf vowed that no commissioner nominee will be sworn- in as a cabinet member without first filling out the asset declaration form from the Code of Conduct Bureau.

“All other political appointees under this administration shall also comply with the directive accordingly,” a statement from the Governor’s office reads.

The Governor reiterated his commitment to the good people of Kano State that transparency and accountability remain the basic principles of his administration.

He said this would be applied to champion good governance as promised in his blueprint during the electioneering campaign.
