Lagos, other parts of Nigeria will experience heavy rains, thunderstorms – NIMET

Morning thunderstorms are expected over Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna states, with additional storm activity anticipated later in Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, and Jigawa states on Thursday.

The North Central region will experience morning thunderstorms in the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, Kogi, and Niger states. As the day progresses, storms are likely to extend into Nasarawa, Plateau, and Benue states.

In the southern region, Thursday will begin with thunderstorms and rain in Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Lagos, Delta, Abia, Rivers, Edo, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states.

Rain is expected to continue throughout the afternoon and evening.

Friday Weather Forecast

Morning thunderstorms are forecasted for Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, and Gombe states, spreading across the entire region by the afternoon and evening.

In the North Central region, a partly cloudy morning will transition to thunderstorms in the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger, Benue, and Kogi states later in the day.

In the southern region, morning rains are expected in Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River states, continuing into the afternoon and evening.
