On Tuesday, Chidimma Adetshina, the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, visited the Chairman and CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the NIDCOM boss welcomed Adetshina, who represented Taraba State in the prestigious beauty contest at the commission’s Lagos office with some executives.

Sharing a clip of the visit, The Universe Nigeria noted that Dabiri advocated for women’s empowerment locally and globally.

The post reads: “A remarkable fusion of beauty and leadership as Abike Dabiri, Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), hosts Miss Universe @chichi_vanessa , advocating for the empowerment of women on the global and national stage.”

The beauty model sparked controversy during this year’s Miss South Africa pageant due to her nationality, which led to her withdrawal from the contest.

She was then invited to participate in Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, where she triumphed over 24 other talented contestants to secure the coveted Miss Universe crown.

The event occurred at the opulent Convention Center of Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos on Saturday, August 31st.

As the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Chidimma Adetshina will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant later this year in Mexico.
