Highest offices in some of Nigeria’s top paramilitary agencies on Monday witnessed major changes following tenure expiration of their helmsmen
In the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Hilary Kelechi Madu, a Deputy Commandant General has been appointed Acting Commandant General of the corps.
Madu took over from the former CG, Abdullahi Gana, whose extended tenure of six months expired today January 18.
TheNewsGuru.com gathered that the changes came as a result of President Muhammadu Buhari’s warning to Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola not to grant any additional tenure extension to heads of the paramilitary agencies.
Controller-General, Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Jaafaru Ahmed, and Comptroller-General, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede have also reportedly concluded plans to resign and hand over their positions to their next in command.
Recall that the federal government through Aregbesola had elongated their terms by six months
