Some Nigerians have expressed outrage after a Nigerian man identified as Justphixicalas killed his pet, a cat, in celebration of his birthday.
Sharing the photos from the delicacy made from the remains of the cat, the man via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter, noted that he killed his pet because he had no money to buy meat.
Sharing the photos, he wrote: “There’s nothing to celebrate in this country if you’re not a politician child. However, I bless GOD for life and adding another fruitful year to my life. Happy birthday 🎉🎁🎈🎂🎊 to me,no money to buy meat 🍖 so I had to ki!! My pet cat 🐱“Gracie” to entertain my friends.”
Reacting, netizens expressed disappointment as they condemned the man’s action of killing his pet for food.
One user, Joyce wrote: “What is so disturbing is that people wull believe will believe whatever they see on social media. The man probably killed a bush meat and posted a picture of a cat he found on Google. Gosh, have internet people really become that gullible?”
