Operatives of the state police command in Bauchi State arrested 352 suspects, recovered 88 Firearms which includes 25 AK-47, 6, 460 ammunition in crack down on criminals in the state.
Mr Ahmed Wakili, the command’s image maker said the successes of the strings of operations by the operatives were as a result of the proactive measures taken by the state police boss, Mr Abiodun Sylvester Alabi.
Notorious among those nabbed, according to Wakili, are hoodlums who converged at various forests in the state to perpetrate their crimes. Such forests include Lame Burra in Gajuwa LGA, Yuda and Mundu Forest in Toro LGA and Yankari Games Reserve in Alialeri LGA.
“The strategy adopted by our CP, Alabi led to harvest of notorious criminals who hitherto used the forests to commit hineous crimes such as kidnapping, terrorism, armed robbery, rape, bugglary and other vices in the state”.
The image maker also disclosed that two vehicles, 19 motorcycles, 109 cows and 74 sheep were recovered by the police. Not left out of the mass haul of stolen goods and items by the police are 40 hand sets, various TV sets and Laptops. “
