Nigerian celebrities have stormed the Youth Vote Count Mega Concert 2.0 in a bid to get people to register for their Permanenet Voter’s Card (PVC) ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Beyond entertaining the crowd, the celebrities on Saturday took time to sensitize people on the need to get their PVCs which was the major drive for the concert.
The event was graced with the presence of entertainers like Kizz Daniel, MI, Falz, Mr Macaroni, Toyin Abraham and others.
This movement, according to many, is a signal that expresses the desire of Nigerian youths to get their PVCs and also have fun while at it.
“Nigerian Youths are going out massively to get their PVC’s!!
“You can register in your Area or at The Tafawa Balewa Square between now and Saturday ahead of the Youth Vote Count Concert in Lagos brought to you by the EU and YIAGA. It’s coming to other states also,” Mr Macaroni said in Twitter.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerian youths that if they get their PVCs and vote in the coming elections, their votes would count.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu gave the assurance during the final day of the ‘Youth Vote Count 2.0’ mega concert it organised in Lagos.
According to Yakubu, “We have heard your requests loud and clear. You will soon hear from us on the extension of CVR registration.
