Shehu Sani exposes alleged coup plot Involving endbadgovernance protesters

Former federal lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has alleged that the idea of protesters flying the Russian flag in Kano, Zamfara, and other northern states is part of a plot to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s government.

Concerns have arisen over the flying of foreign flags by some EndBadGovernance protesters in northern states.

Several video clips captured protesters flying the Russian flag and calling for military rule in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies have made several arrests related to the incident.

Speaking on the matter during a Channels Television program on Tuesday, Shehu Sani claimed that certain elements are attempting to overthrow the government.

He stated, “A day before the last protest, money was distributed to the youths, and Russian flags were also given out.

This shows that the protest’s intent goes beyond the government’s policies and programs.

“There was an attempt to create an atmosphere conducive to overthrowing the government. When you see such a situation, it becomes evident that someone is scripting for anarchy, lawlessness, and disorder. It is essential for people like us to speak out.”
