The All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, have donated N200million in cash and relief materials to flood victims in Delta State.
Senator Omo-Agege stated this while addressing a massive crowd Wednesday at Osubi Airport, where party faithful gathered to receive Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu who was billed to visit IDP camps in the state.
According to him, “The reason of the APC Presidential Candidate visit is to show solidarity empathy and sympathy to People as a result of the very devastating flood in most of our communities here in Delta State. And also to provide leadership in our fight to uproot the very bad governance imposed on Delta State in the past Seven and half years”.
Explaining the reason for the absence of Tinubu, Omo-Agege said; “Today, as you all know because of the strike in the aviation industry and the purpose of his coming is to visit the IDP camps and we can not get there by road and we have made arrangements to use helicopters to move our president in waiting to Kwale in Delta North, patani Delta south and Okwagbe in Delta Central but because of the strike we are not able to get helicopter For that we have decided to reschedule this visit for the next couple of days after the aviation strike has been called off. He has also told me that because of the empathy he has for the people, That I should announce the sum of 50million Naira to deltans who have lost their homes and livelihood and this 50million will be made available.
At Okwagbe were he led the the Campaign team, Omo-Agege noted that the modality of sharing will be done through the Delta APC Director General of his Campaign, Elder Godsday Orubebe.
He said; “No one man can restore the lost of our people. My self standing here today in my capacity and the governorship candidate for the APC and Deputy Senate President, we have acquired relief materials worth 150million Naira; and beginning from Friday we are going to set up a task force that will move from one Internally Displaced Persons (IDP)camps in the whole of Delta State to distribute the materials to people who have been displaced by the flood”.
While the Delta State Deputy Governorship Candidate of APC, Rt. Friday Osanebi left the delegation on behalf of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Delta North at Kwale, the Director General of Delta APC Campaign Elder Godsday Orubebe led the delegation of Delta South to patani IDP Camps respectively.
I want to thank all of you for showing solidarity to our presidential candidate Tinubu, i thank all of you and you are not going to regret coming here.
You will not regret your decision to enthrone a new government in Delta State. We all know that Okowa has been a bad boy we all know that almost seven and half years okowa has received 2.8trillion Naira If you look at delta State do you see anything that looks like 2.8 trillion Naira.
That is the reason we must chase Okowa away and his house boy. We don’t want his house boy to be the governor of Delta State. We must make sure we put an end to this borrowing, are we not tired of borrowing loans? Are we not tired of increasing school fees for our children? Are we not tired of this joblessness, are we not tired of not paying our pensioners?
Are we not tired of turning warri to a Keke headquarters? As you go back home talk to your people That we are tired of a governor led by a traitor. Anybody who has betrayed. southern Nigeria cannot be allowed to be vice president. We don’t want vice president, we want president.we have given president to northern Nigeria to 8years, it is our turn.
