Toke Makinwa reveals first Nigerian musician to give her 10 million and never asked for anything in return 

Media personality and entrepreneur, Toke Makinwa has shared how popular Nigerian singer, Dbanj was the first Nigerian man to give her money without expecting anything in return.

According to Toke Makinwa, the singer, during her book launch many years ago, pledged the sum of ten-million Naira, and kept to his word, by sending the morning at exact 8am the following day.

Toke who recalled the kind gesture by musician during a recent meeting on Thursday noted that  unlike most Nigerian men, D’Banj didn’t demand for anything in return, which made her to call him her “major guy”.

A video of their meeting which has gone viral was shared in Instagram.

The controversial media personality further explained that years later, as she began her career, D’banj continued to support her.

“I wrote a book, and at the launch, D’banj stood up and promised N10 million. By 8 a.m. the next morning, it was in my account,” she said.
