Arsenal signed Neto from Bournemouth on a loan deal on the deadline transfer day, with coach Mikel Arteta refusing to comment on signing Raheem Sterling.

“In the last 24 hours of the transfer window, never rule out anything,” the Arsenal’s manager had said.

Arsenal had earlier disclosed new signing Mikel Merino sustained a shoulder injury at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.

“It’s unfortunate. He has a shoulder injury and it looks like he will be out for a few weeks. He landed on the floor and Gabi landed on top of him, it’s a fracture probably,” Arteta said.
