Under the guidance of Enzo Maresca, Chelsea struggled to find the net in the first half at Stamford Bridge. However, Christopher Nkunku broke the deadlock after the break, scoring his first goal of the season with a penalty.

Noni Madueke then doubled the lead, firing a shot from a tight angle with his weaker right foot.

This result gives Chelsea a strong advantage as they aim to qualify for the main competition.
