The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has disclosed the reason he visited former president, Muhammadu Buhari.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) earlier reported the former Vice President, visited Buhari at his Daura residence in Katsina State on Saturday.
It was gathered that the immediate past Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, alongside other PDP stakeholders accompanied Atiku on his visit.
Taking to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) page on Saturday, Atiku revealed that he visited the former Nigerian leader to pay ‘Sallah homage.’
He wrote: “Accompanied by some stakeholders of our great party, the PDP, we visited the Daura residence of former President Muhammadu Buhari to pay a courtesy call and offer Sallah homage.”
Recall that the visit to Buhari comes few days after Atiku paid a similar visit to former Military President, Ibrahim Babagida and former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, in Niger State.
