Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, has deleted his promotional tweet towards his album to commiserate with his colleague, Davido who lost his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on Monday evening.
Wizkid was supposed to release his album. “More Love; Less Ego” on the 4th of November, 2022.
The tweet, however, has now been deleted following the news of Ifeany’s demise.
Last night, the heartbreaking news of Davido’s first son (Ifeanyi) death hit the internet.
It was gathered that the singer’s son drowned in their family pool and was reportedly pronounced “dead on arrival” at the hospital.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Wizkid gave a hint of a possible collaboration with Davido on his forthcoming album.
According to reports, Ifeanyi got drowned a few days after his third birthday which was on October 20.
Little Ifeanyi was said to be underwater for a very long time before being spotted.
The three-year-old son of the singer drowned on Monday, October 31, 2022, inside the family’s swimming pool in Banana Island, Lagos.
He was immediately pulled out and rushed to Lagoon Hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
An Instagram post by popular comedian, AY confirmed this in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The comedian wrote in the post, “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair and tragic. This hits me so bad.”
Meanwhile, Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of all members of Davido’s domestic staff after his son Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned in a pool on Monday.
The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed on Tuesday morning after the report of Ifeanyi’s death went viral.
