The Director-General of the National Boundary Commission (NBC), Surv. Adamu Adaji has said boundary disputes will soon be a thing of the past in Nigeria.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports this was contained in a statement released on Monday by the Head of Information of the Commission, Efe Ovuakporie (Mrs).
The NBC D-G noted that with the cooperation of the staff the Commission boundary disputes will be a thing of the past.
He identified staff welfare as a critical tool for enhancement and the achievements of organizational goals.
Speaking when staff of the Department of Policy Analysis paid him a congratulatory visit, Adani urged the staff to continue to work assiduously towards the achievement of the Commission’s mandate.
The delegation was led by the Head of the Department, Dr. Richard Oji, his deputy, Mr. Nicholas Emiowele and other senior members of staff of the department.
Speaking during the visit, the DG promised that he would continue to pursue measures that would support the wellbeing of staff stressing that an enhanced welfare package for staff would serve as a natural boost for employees effectiveness and productivity adding that “a motivated staff is a committed staff”.
Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the delegation, Dr. Richard Oji assured that he would continue to support the Director General to ensure success and in building lasting peace to boundary disputes in the country.
He noted that although boundary work is evolving but with the kind of knowledge that the Director General has garnered on the job over the years and the cooperation of the staff that boundary disputes will soon be a thing of the past.
