The Kaduna State Government has declared a 24-hour curfew in some Communities in Kaduna South and Chukun Local Government area of the state.
State commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
According to Aruwa, the curfew is “effective immediately”
Areas to be covered by the curfew includes; “…Barnawa, Kakuri, and Television Village in Kaduna South LGA and Maraban Rido, Sabon Tasha, Narayi and Ugwan Boro in Chukun LGA”
Aruwan said “security agencies have been directed to arrest and prosecute any found violating the curfew and those responsible for breakdown of law and order…..”
“Kaduna State Government condemn the concerted incitement being done on social media. The government appeals to all our communities to reject incitement and resist the attempt to create chaos and Anarchy” he added.
