Nigerian celebrities Broda Shaggi, Mercy Aigbe, and White Money all gathered to add spice, color, and glamour to African Fashion.
The three-day event which started on September 7-9 was held at Eko Hotels and suites and African textiles, fabrics, and designs were on display for the world to see.
Fashionista and Popular show host, Denrele Edun was the master of ceremony and he was on hand to thrill the audience, even as he spoke about his journey in the fashion industry.
However, in one of the sessions, the Masterclass, Toyin Lawani the convener, advised young entrepreneurs and designers to be focused and steadfast and believe in their abilities.
Lawani gave scholarships to 10 prospective fashion designers at the show to help them grow in the industry.
The week featured over 60 designers from across Africa. On the first day, guests arrived on the red carpet and took turns to view fabrics, jewelry, and other fashion items that were on display on stands and cubicles at the venue. The red carpet session was followed by a fashion show where models strutted the walkway in outfits of designers such as Modesty Signature, Adire Odua Ready To Wear, and Glue by Nasir Elias.
Fashion Brands from major African countries were showcased at various spots on the exhibition stands.
The African Fashion Show is organized annually to promote and showcase AFRICA’s fabrics, designs, and textiles to the world.
