A Superintendent of Police was on Thursday shot dead while two others were injured after commercial motorcyclists went berserk in Lagos.
The incident occurred between 5pm and 6pm at Ajao Estate in Isolo while the policemen were trying to impound motorcycles.
It was gathered that the policemen seized some of the bikes for allegedly flouting the state traffic law and the motorcyclists mobilised and attacked them.
They reportedly disarmed the SP and used his service firearm to kill him along Asa Afariogun Road by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

A resident who pleaded anonymity said the riotous bikers were said to have extended their battle with the police towards the station where they allegedly shot two more officers.
The incident, according to the source, caused a commotion.
Police spokesman Adekunle Ajisebutu promised to make findings and inform the reporter but he was yet to do so at the time of this report.
A task force of the state Environmental and Special Offences Unit impounded 410 motorcycles for alleged breach of the state’s traffic laws.
The seizures were carried out between last week and Wednesday at Isolo, Ojodu-Berger, Ojota, Lagos Island, Surulere and Second Rainbow areas of the state, the agency said.
