The Presidential Wildlife Sanctuary (PWLS) has received approval from President Muhammadu Buhari for upgrades in order to enhance the practice of conservation in the country.
Tijjani Umar, Permanent Secretary, State House, made this known while receiving a delegation of wildlife experts from Zimbabwe to State House on Thursday, December 15.
The wildlife experts are on a week-long assessment tour of the PWLS, formerly known as the State House zoo.
Patience Tilley-Gyado, Assistant Director, Information, stated that Umar outlined the importance of safeguarding the wildlife in the seat of government for recreational purposes, rehabilitation, research and knowledge sharing during the meeting.
