Another batch of 250 Obio/Akpor constituents is set to benefit from the Rep Kingsley Ogundu Chinda skills acquisition program unveiled last Monday in Rivers State.
The first phase for Ward 5 ended two weeks ago where 250 graduates mastered the art of sewing, barbing, hat weaving, bead making, catering, allied products manufacturing (cosmetology) and others.
Ward 16, which comprises the following communities: Ozuoba, Ogbogoro, Rumuokwachi, Rumuokparali, started on Monday.
The one month training for Ward 16 commenced on the 2nd of March 2020 at Anaka Community Hall, Ogbogoro Town. Participants will learn the following skills: tailoring/design, Ankara making, hat making and hair dressing.
Other skills participants will learn are: wig making, allied products manufacturing and cosmetology, interior decoration, hair barbing, catering services, make-up artistry, handset repairs, bead making and leather foot wears.
The Rep O. K. Chinda Skill Acquisition Training recorded a huge success at the just concluded pilot phase in Ward 5, with a lot of testimonies and recommendations.
TNG learnt the training programme will go round all the 17 Wards in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, which includes indigenes without boarders (non-indigenes).
