Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has made his intention known to battle Senator Ahmed Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress APC primaries for the 2023 presidential election ticket.

Umahi stated this on Tuesday while briefing State House correspondents after he met with President Buhari at the Aso Villa in Abuja.

This is coming barely 24 hours after the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinunbu informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his intention to contest for 2023 presidential election.
Recall that Umahi defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in November 2020 from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
