Chairman of the Delta South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Amb. Julius Takeme (JP) on Friday scored and rated the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, 2023 Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP high on his developmental strides across the State.
The Delta South PDP Chairman, Takeme made the rating on Friday in Warri, Delta State.
According to him, the decision to select the performing and wonderful Governor of Delta State as the running mate to Atiku as vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 Presidential election remains one of the best decisions so far since the history of Delta State.
However, Dr. Takeme noted that Okowa’s developmental strides and his contribution towards the growth and development of the PDP and the country so far made him the best choice as running mate to Atiku.
Nevertheless, Takeme asserted that Okowa’s developmental blueprint in Delta is visible to everyone in the state, stressing Okowa’s projects have also touched Ijaw Riverine communities in the state that has been hitherto been neglected.
Speaking further, Takeme had described Governor Okowa and the PDP vice Presidential candidate as a prudent manager of resources, adding that he is a tested and trusted leader hence his nomination as the vice presidential candidate of the PDP.
Julius Takeme stated that what Governor Okowa needs now is to be encouraged by patriotic Nigerians and Deltans, adding that Okowa’s track records are there for everyone to look at.
Leader Takeme argued that no Governor since the creation of Delta State has ever touched riverine communities in the state with development and massive political appointment of Ijaw sons and daughters to the Delta State Government as much as Okowa, noting that Okowa has proven his love for the Ijaw people over the years.
Meanwhile, Takeme had tasked Governor Okowa to remain focused in his mission to rescue Nigerians, stressing that he should not be discouraged by petty distractions.
In his words: “Okowa’s nomination as vice Presidential candidate to Atiku is the best thing ever that has happened to Delta State. He has graciously spread Development to Ijaw areas and all parts of Delta state. Okowa should not be discouraged by distractions. Ijaws are very proud of Okowa’s developmental strides across the state and the Ijaw areas as well.
“Governor Okowa is one man that is known for delivering whenever he occupies any political office or given any assignment, he is known as a deliverer “. Takeme stated.
