Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Monday imposed a curfew reportedly to avoid a breakdown of law and order following INEC’s declaration of NNPP’s candidate as the winner of the governorship election.

The information and internal affairs commissioner, Muhammad Garba, made the announcement in a statement on Monday.

He said the decision was to prevent hoodlums from causing chaos in the already tense situation.

The commissioner called on people in the state to remain indoors as security agents would not spare anyone, or a group bent on causing trouble.
