Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has complained about the lack of turnaround time between their Champions League clash and a Premier League game against Leeds United.

The Blues face their third game in eight days as they take on the Whites at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Both Chelsea and Leeds are facing injury issues in the squad, and Tuchel complained about the game being on Saturday, after his side’s Champions League clash with Zenit St. Petersburg on Wednesday.

“The game tomorrow [against Zenit] is not the problem, it’s more the game that comes up on the Saturday,” he said before the game his side drew 3-3 in midweek.

“We had an early game against West Ham and then a late game against Zenit. We had a day off and good training session today.

“We can let anybody play of the 17 players plus goalkeepers we have.

“The problem is the next match on Saturday because we will lose time to sleep, arrive back very early on Thursday, and then we face an intense team in Leeds who have prepared to face this match.”
