Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman says the club’s top brass has his shopping list.
Koeman admits he’s also submitted names he believes should be moved on this month.
“Every trainer will look at how the squad can be provided with a quality injection in January, I am no exception,” said Koeman ahead of the game with Athletic Club on Wednesday evening.
“I have done nothing more than draw up a list of players who could leave and of players who could possibly be a reinforcement for us.
“But it depends on what the club management wants. If purchases are not possible, then I agree with that…”
Of his own work this season, Koeman added: “We came here in August and tried to push the team forward. I don’t think it helped that some key players were injured. It’s also a squad that I haven’t been able to change. In that sense, every coach has more time needed to get his ideas in.
“I haven’t been there that long. We are strong offensively, but we can still take steps defensively.”
