Community Shield: Manchester City to miss four key players in clash against United at Wembley

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will be without four key players for Saturday’s Community Shield game against Manchester United: Rodri, Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Phil Foden.

According to City Xtra, the quartet is not expected to return to training until next week. All four players participated in the Euro 2024 final and were subsequently given time off.

On a positive note, Kevin De Bruyne has returned to training and may feature in the match against United, as Guardiola’s squad aims to start the season with a victory and secure silverware.

City previously lost the 2023 Community Shield fixture to Arsenal via penalties.
