Lionel Scaloni the head coach of Argentina, has appealed to Lionel Messi not to retire now but to continue playing for “as long as his legs can carry him.”.
Although, Messi is yet to officially confirm when he will hang up his boots, there are reports he’s planning to retire soon.
The 36-year-old recently completed his first season with MLS side Inter Miami CF and is preparing for his second year in the US.
“We tell him [Messi] to play for as long as he can.
“He has proved that he doesn’t have an end. You don’t know when he will give [it] up. It’s incredible,” Scaloni told Christian Vieri in a Twitch interview.
Messi finally won the World Cup playing under Scaloni at Qatar and has now lifted every possible trophy during his illustrious career.
