Netherlands and PSV Eindhoven forward, Cody Gakpo has arrived United Kingdom for his medicals ahead of January transfer move to Liverpool Football Club.
The Qatar 2022 Dutch revelation is on the verge of joining Liverpool for an initial fee of £37million plus add ons.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Gakpo is all set to undergo Liverpool medicals ahead of the transfer window in January.
He said “Liverpool are planning for Cody Gakpo to arrive in England tonight and then complete his move.
“If everything goes according to plan with logistical stuff, main part of the medical tests will take place tomorrow,” Romano tweeted on Tuesday night.
Liverpool have moved ahead of rivals Manchester United to complete the transfer for the 23-year-old, who scored three times at the 2022 World Cup.
Speculations are rife that the Reds are also in the running to sign Argentine Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a fee in the region of £120 Million.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham is also being tipped to join Liverpool but no concrete contract talks have taken place.
