Chelsea Football club today defeated Leicester City by 3-1 to register three wins in a row in all competitions.
The Blues opened the scoring inside 11th minute when Ben Chillwell lashed on to a cross from Kalidou Koulibaly for the visitor’s opener.
The West Londoners thought they doubled their lead when Ruben Loftus-Cheek set Joao Felix from the right and the Atletico Madrid loanee beat Danny Ward with a fine finish.
But the goal was immediately chalked off as Felix was caught offside after a VAR check.
Leicester regrouped and equalised with a stunning long-range shot by Patson Daka in the 39th minute.
But Chelsea regained the lead at the death when Enzo Fernandez flicked the ball over to Kai Havertz inside the area and the versatile forward tapped it over Ward in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
However, Graham Potter’s side got the decisive goal when Havertz delivered a cross from the right and found Mudryk at the far post.
The winger headed it to the middle and Mateo Kovacic delivered a thunderous volley to seal the three points for the visitors.
Leicester then lost Wout Faes who was sent off with a second yellow card after two-legged tackle on Carney Chukwuemeka.
