Despite not having Erling Haaland in the starting lineup, Manchester City defeated Liverpool 4-1 to revive their title hopes.

Liverpool scored first through Mo Salah in the 17th minute but Julian Alvarez equalized for the home team to settle scores at 1-1 at half time.

Upon resumption in the second half, Kevin De Bruyne  finished off a fine move to give City the lead inside the first minute of the second half, before Ilkay Gundogan and Grealish netted to seal a deserved win for the defending champions.
The result meant City reduced the deficit between it and leaders Arsenal to five points pending when Arsenal play Leeds United.
Meanwhile, The Reds are still stuck on 6th position on the log
