Tottenham Hotspurs have reduced the gap between it and leaders Arsenal to just one point but with a match advantage above the Gunners.
Spurs achieved this feat after defeating Everton 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium with goals from Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg settling scores between both sides.
Spurs are yet to drop a point at home in the Premier League or Champions League this season, but not for the first time were far from a slick attacking force under Antonio Conte.
However, Kane’s form is covering over any cracks as the England captain took his tally to 9 goals for Tottenham in the EPL this season.
Although, Spurs are just one point behind leaders Arsenal they are still lying in third position as they also trail Manchester City on goal difference.
Manchester City have a date with Liverpool on Sunday in what has been dubbed a rivalry contest.
Harry Kane is also closing in on Erling Haaland on scorers chart.
Kane has scored 9 premier league goals for Tottenham this season and now trails the Norwegian with six goals. In Second position is Ivan Toney of Brentford with eight goals.
Toney has been dubbed the best penalty taker after converting 20 of 20 spot kicks for Brentford.
Haaland will hope to increase his tally against Liverpool today at Anfield if the opportunity happens after having failed to score against them in their last meeting at the community shield in August.
Liverpool have had the upper hand against Manchester City in their five meetings with two wins, two draws and just a win for City.
