Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah has expressed disappointment over the Reds inability to play Champions League football come next season.
The Reds will likely finish fifth and get a place in the Europa League next season after Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Chelsea confirmed Erik ten Hag’s men will finish in the top.
Shortly after the game, Salah tweeted: “I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this.
“We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed.
“We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.”
United will join Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle United in the Champions League.
