Brentford manager, Thomas Frank has revealed the winning tactics his boys employed to defeat Liverpool 3-1 in the Premier League tie on Monday night.
Frank said that Brentford defeated Liverpool at the Gtech Community Stadium because of his players’ attitude, effort, hard work and togetherness.
The 49-year-old Danish gaffer watched The Bees defeat Jurgen Klopp’s side at home, thanks to goals from Ibrahima Konate (own-goal), Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo.
Liverpool’s only goal was scored by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the encounter.
Liverpool French defender, Ibrahim Konate had a bad day in office after conceding an own goal and being responsible for the 3rd goal against Liverpool.
“What a night! I can’t praise the players enough, they are incredible.
“The attitude, effort, hard work and togetherness – everything they put together to beat a team like Liverpool,” Frank told BBC Sport.
All Brentford goal except the last came from set pieces in the encounter.
Both Liver pool and Brentford had goals ruled out for offside.
