Football transfer season reached its peak on deadline day on September 1st with a lot of club sides eager to bolster their teams for the last transfer window of the year 2022.
The 2022 summer transfer finally came to an end by 11 pm on Thursday and it was a very busy day for club sides doing business across Europe.
Chelsea ended it by bringing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to England and Liverpool sprang a surprise by signing Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus.
Swiss player of Nigerian descent, Obafemi Akanji was also snapped up by Manchester City from Dortmund, making him the second player the German side sold to the EPL defending champions.
Manchester United also sealed the deal for Antony Matheus dos Santos from Ajax Amsterdam.
Leicester City spent their first bit of savings on the defender, Wout Faes from Reims.
Fulham brought in Paris Saint-Germain left-back, Layvin Kurzawa on loan and Willian for free.
Nottingham signed Josh Bowler and French defender Loic Bade as their 21st signing of the season.
