Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic admits there’s two players he currently follows.
Milinkovic-Savic says he’s been happy with his form this season.
He told DAZN: “For some years now, the statistics say, I play a little better. If I feel undervalued? I don’t think about this, when I finish the game if I have time I see it again and then I decide if I did well or not, I am honest with myself.
“In the movements without the ball I have grown a lot over the years. Little by little I have worked and this year you can see the results.”
SMS continued: “The use of the sole came to me because I couldn’t shoot with the right foot, I said I shoot with the left and let’s see what happens. I like to use it because it takes away a touch, it depends on how the ball arrives but I always try to catch it with the sole.
“With shorter players, I struggle more because I have to lower myself too.
“Who do I get my inspiration from? I always look at Thiago from Liverpool. I developed some body movements thanks to futsal, a sport I practiced as a child.
“I similar to Pogba? I learned a lot from him at the beginning when I arrived in Italy and he was at Juventus. He is tall like me, he has technique and he already made a difference. Me in five years? I don’t think so much about the future, I look day by day and I don’t think too much about things.
“Ballon d’Or? Of course I’d like to.”
