Liverpool are in contact with agent Mino Raiola for Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul.
Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards are set to look for a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who appears set to leave at the end of the season.
Liverpool are already making plans, with De Paul apparently on their radar.
FourFourTwo says Liverpool have already made an approach for the Udinese midfielder, and have contacted his agent, Raiola.
De Paul has been targeted by Leeds United in the past, but was valued at £35million last summer.
However, Inter Milan and Watford are both also said to be interested in moving for him this summer, while Marcelo Bielsa is still keen.
