Mkhitaryan defends move from Dortmund to Man Utd

Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists he was right to leave Borussia Dortmund.

Mkhitaryan left BVB for Manchester United in 2016, where he would las barely a year before departing for Arsenal.

“A lot of nonsense was said during this time. People have said that I only did this for the cash. That’s nonsense.

“When I heard that Manchester United was interested in me, I wanted to go there. It was my big dream to play in England one day,” said the 32-year-old to Sport1.

He added: “I was happy in Dortmund, but sometimes you have to make tough decisions that may only come once in a lifetime, and you have to take your heart out and listen.”
