Paris St-Germain striker, Mbappe has won the Golden Boy award for the best player in Europe under the age of 21, ahead of Gabriel Jesus and Ousmane Dembele, who were shortlisted.
The award is given to the best player under the age of 21 in Europe and is voted for by a panel of journalists from across the continent.
The youngster who has scored four goals and provided four assists in 11 games for PSG this season, gained attention onto the world stage with Monaco last season and is now flourishing in the French capital, having formed a productive partnership with Brazilian Neymar.
The 18-year-old, who has already won eight France caps, is currently on loan at Parc des Princes, and will officially join the club on a permanent basis next season, for a fee of €180 million.
The award is given to the best player under the age of 21 in Europe and is voted for by a panel of journalists from across the continent.
Lionel Messi (2005) and Paul Pogba (2013) have previously won the award which is given to the player who has been in the best form over the previous calendar year.
