Rangers’ Coach, Imama Amapakabo, said on Thursday that the rigorous training and lectures were meant to put the players in shape for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League encounter.
TheNewsGuru reports that the second leg of the CAF Champions League between Rangers International FC of Enugu and JS Saoura FC of Algeria will hold on Feb. 19.
The encounter would be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, by 4 p.m. local time.
Amapakabo said that the team had commenced intensive training after returning to Enugu from the first leg encounter on Feb.12.
He said that lectures had been added to the daily routine of the players.
“For now, we have intensified training to put the players in proper shape, physically, mentally and morally.
“This move will make us prepare well to confront the Algerian side on Sunday, here in Enugu, for the second leg encounter of the CAF Champions League,’’ he said.
The coach assured football fans that Rangers would deliver victory on Sunday.
