Gernot Rohr has told his players to brace up for a difficult game as the Super Eagles take on Libya on Tuesday in a Group E 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Sfax, Tunisia.
Nigeria walloped the Mediterranean Knights 4-0 on Saturday in Uyo in the first leg, with Odion Ighalo netting a hat-trick.
As a result of the win, the three-time African champions climbed to second in the group, and are looking to complete a double over the north Africans who are playing their home games away from home due to unrest in Libya.
But Rohr expects the wounded north Africans to give Nigeria a run for their money to keep their hopes of qualifying for next year’s African showpiece alive.
“Tomorrow’s [Tuesday] game will be tougher than the last one. It’s always difficult to play the same team twice in three days and win both games, but we’re just as motivated and hungry for victory as we were on Saturday,” Rohr said in a tweet posted on the team’s Twitter handle.
