Hundreds of Christians, members of various church denominations on Friday protested as Kwara government forcefully reopen 10 schools shut down over the hijab controversy in the state.
Recall TheNewsGuru (TNG) had earlier reported that the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has directed the principals, teachers and staff of the 10 schools shut down to report at the schools on Friday or face disciplinary actions.
In some of the videos obtained by TNG, Christians in white robes were seen singing Halleluyah! Halleluyah!… in front of Cherubim and Seraphim school protest as Kwara State Government forcefully took over the school premises.

The Executive Chairperson of the commission, Bello Abubakar, said the teachers must resume to prepare their final year students for their external examinations.
The government explained that the resumption became necessary in order to prepare the final year students for their external examinations.
The government warned that any staff that fails to report to duty will face the full wrath of the law as it will not condone any act of insubordination.
