We are still searching for hope- Kemi Adetiba, Filmmaker
Kemi Adetiba making reference to a video she shot for TY Bello ‘We are the future’ took to her Instagram page to share her thoughts on the state of the nation.
She wrote: “I was reminded of this AMAZING song by @tybello. I was also reminded that I shot this video for TY… Almost 8 years ago, but the words are more apt now than ever before. We’re still searching for the HOPE that inspired this song. This song should be a second national anthem. “How can they say that we are finished. We have just begun. When we have no where else to run to. We have no where else to go. So get out of the way – Out of the way of the land of my dreams. We are the future… We are part of this!!”
Maybe if we sang it enough we would start to believe the words and work hard for it to come true… TODAY!! “Goodbye yesterday, tomorrow is now for the taking!!”
