Nigerian pop star, Wizkid has slammed individuals who compare him to Fela. The singer noted that it is disrespectful. The comparison started after Wizkid performed at The Royal Albert Hall in London.

Wizzy as he is fondly called by his fans, made this known during a chat with Hip TV.

“You cannot compare me with Fela, let us not use that word that is disrespectful.

“You cannot mention I and Fela in the same sentence.

“Fela is an inspiration, my performance at Royal Albert hall was inspired by him,” Wizkid said.

Recall that Sound Sultan had in time past warned fans to stop comparing Wizkid to Fela. He added that Wizkid is making Africa proud and should be allowed to evolve and do what he wants to do with his music.
