Lauryn Hill’s former trombone player has claimed that the renowned singer owes him.
TMZ reports that the former Fugees singer is being sued by a musician she allegedly hired to record a few songs and tour with her and then fired without paying.
Her touring manager and touring company are also named in the lawsuit, filed by Matthew Hartnett.
Hartnett claims he joined Hill, 42, in the studio in the summer of 2016, after which she offered him a spot on her tour
Hartnett in the lawsuit claimed that he billed the “Doo Wop” singer and her team a standard rate for the studio sessions and a signed 10-week contract, but was never paid for either.
As such, he believes he’s eligible to at least half his contract. He’s also seeking an additional $4,000. In total, Hartnett is suing Hill and her team for $11,521.60 plus damages.
Lauyrn Hill however is yet to respond to this pending lawsuit.
