The visit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday to the first lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu in Lagos has sparked alot of controversy online.
The first lady’s spokesperson Busola Kukoyi had shared a photo of the visit on social media, stating that Obasanjo came to felicitate Mrs Tinubu on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.
She wrote: “Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the First Lady of the Federal of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu after receiving the Former President who came felicitating on the Sallah Celebration on Monday 17th June.”
Mrs Tinubu also shared a photo of the visit on her own social media pages.
Obasanjo’s visit comes days after he was seen wearing a cap many believe bore Tinubu’s broken shackles insignia.
The visit sparked concerns among some netizens who noted that the former Nigerian leader may have joined President Bola Tinubu’s camp after initially pledging support for Peter Obi during the 2023 general elections.
