He said, “They will make decisions without even putting customers into consideration as if they are begging them to fly. They have been charged flight money, after boarding everybody, telling them the flight was canceled, what did they do, nothing.”

Recall that the United Nigeria Airline flight NUA0504, operating from the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos en route to Abuja had on Sunday landed at Asaba International Airport in Delta State.

It was gathered that the development, which appeared shocking to passengers, was said to be due to poor destination weather in the nation’s capital.

However, the management of the airline, in a statement issued by its Head of Corporate Communications, Achilleu-Chud Uchegbu, said that the announcement was made in error.

According to Uchegbu, the pilot of the aircraft was aware of the diversion and was properly briefed.

Following the development also, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, suspended all foreign lease aircraft under the United Nigeria Airlines.
