Nigerian forward, Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal wasn’t enough to rescue a point for his visiting team Nottingham Forest as they succumbed 2-1 to the superior firepower of Arsenal at the Emirate.

Bukayo Saka’s superb curler gets Gunners’ title bid off to winning start, scoring the second goal for the Gunners in the 32nd minute before Awoniyi’s goal reduced the deficit in the 81st minute of the encounter.

Four minutes before Saka’s goal, Eddie Nketiah  received a pass from Martinelli who sold couple of dummies to the Nottingham defenders before connecting with the goal scorer, Nketiah who fired a shot through Worrall’s legs with a bit of a deflection into the back of the net.
