The raid soon led to a free-for-all which reportedly saw four persons shot dead while several others sustained various degrees of injuries.

Speaking exclusively with TheNewsGuru.com, one of the scavengers who simply identified himself as Ahmed said: ‘The police have been coming here to disturb us. We don’t do anything here other than sell our scraps. And we settle them regularly whenever they come around. Now they came this morning and started trouble. We resisted and they started shooting thereby killing and injuring some of us’.
